Get a better fit and fewer leaks by ordering a Schrader 6116 High-Pressure Strut Coupler from SkyGeek. The compact connector is designed to be attached directly to the strut valve for inflating or deflating the strut on an aircraft. It features an 1/8-inch female end that allows the coupler to be attached to your inflation system securely by hand or with a wrench. The strut coupler is compatible with .305-32 thread size valve threads and will form a perfect seal at up to 3000 psi. It is made of metal for incredible durability and is designed to withstand high-pressure situations, allowing for reliable inflating of struts. The air-line connector end is designed to fit most strut systems and the 1/8-inch NPT female threaded end is the most common size of threaded end in the industry. There is also a 70-degree bend in the middle of the coupler to make it easier to reach and fill difficult valves, making quick work of your maintenance projects.
The Schrader 6116 High-Pressure Strut Coupler from SkyGeek is designed to be easy to use. The coupler does not have a manual pin and relies on the pressure from the air or nitrogen passing through to depress the pain on the strut, allowing it to be filled. This reduces the number of steps involved with filling the strut and reduces the risk of operator error. However, because it lacks a pin, the coupler cannot be used to deflate struts. The unique design automatically stops airflow once the coupler is disconnected by allowing for the pin to rise as soon as the pressure drops, automatically sealing the strut and preventing a loss of pressure when the coupler is being put on or taken off.
- Airline connector is 1/8-inch NPT female thread
- Valve connects at a 70-degree angle for easy attachment to hard-to-reach valves
- Recommended maximum torque to valve mouth is 30 inch pounds
Note: This coupler does not have a pin to depress the core valve. The air/nitrogen pressure is supposed to be high enough to depress the pin so it doesn't need one.
*It may be necessary to replace the sealing washers after a number of uses to insure sealing on valve mouth.
